Edge
The straight razor is not a shortcut. Hot lather. Steel on skin. Four passes. It takes twice as long as a blade cartridge and leaves nothing to hide behind — which is exactly the point.
Hot Towel Prep
Steamed towel opens the pores. Preshave oil softens the follicle. Your skin is ready before the blade ever touches it.
The Blade
Sheffield steel, honed to a 15° angle. Four passes — with the grain, across, against, finish. Zero drag. Every stroke is intentional.
Cold Finish
Cold towel closes the pores. Alum seals the skin. Aftershave balm locks it in. You leave smoother than you've ever been.
